MAsking layers
Hello, i have this problem. there are 3 layers (3 hills) in the composition. I would like to do simple camera fly through. IS there any way how the 1.layer can mask the 3.layer? Here you can see the animation

If you take the pen Tool and make a mask that is just inside the hill, and then another mask just inside the tower or pole, you can use Effect>Render>Fill (Check the “All Masks” box, and for Color, sample the Green background color, then you should be OK. The masks need to be closed masks (not open) snd accurate and just inside the lines, but you can fine tune it with Mask Expansion (twirl the Mask down). There might be an easier way, but this should work.

… the problem is if i can use somehow two different layers to mask one layer without using precompositing

You can use the set matte effect. One for each layer you’d like to use as a matte.

Bu the problem is if the layer im taking mask from is animated…the mask (set mate effect) is not moving
