    Some folks over at apple.com have had to delete their Studio ID files before the license would take.

    > ah, okay, found it myself. it’s the file

    /Library/Application Support/ProApps/Final Cut Studio System ID

    trashed it, launched one of the Pro apps, entered my license data, the file got rewritten and everything works fine now.

    Yes, but my copy worked without entering a number as I had tried to install Motion on my MBP already.
    This might mean you could have two copies running 😉

    I will check the two licence numbers
