  Playback is fine, but scrubbing makes canvas go red??

  When I play my video everything is fine. But when scrubbing through the timeline, the canvas image has a red tint to it, and there is a little white circle with a black cross through it in the top right corner. The image also goes laggy as hell.

  What is going on here?

  Sounds like you need to set your playback settings to RGB in the Canvas window. This setting is found in the oval button on the left in the top area of the Canvas.
