Anyone got an APPLE QUAD?
Hi there! Don’t know if any of you might be able to help out. But I do need some! :)…
I am continuously working on video clips, all 5 minutes long each.
I need to stabilize every clip and have found a stand alone application along with a plug-in to effectively solve the problem. The results are truly AMAZING!!! and completely fixes any shaky shot.
I have been using 2D3D SteadyMove on Premier Pro on PC for a couple of years now but would like to switch to Mac if I can solve the render speed issues.
I have done a test render using a 1.42, 512mb memory Mac Mini and rendered a ‘5 MINUTE’ clip in ‘iMovie HD’ using the piStabilize plug-in.
The rendering took 52 MINUTES!! Because of its complex function it is very demanding. The product for the Mac is called ‘iStabilize’ and I understand works either on its own or in iMovie HD, NOT Final Cut Pro… Although I thought you guys in here might like to know as it is a very effective product.
I am asking anyone with a very fast APPLE or APPLE QUAD to check out the demo plugin and give it a go at rendering a 5 minute shot so we may compare the results.
If you tell me the spec of your machine and render a 5 minute not stop shot with piStabilize in iMovie on ‘Default settings’. Let us know how long it takes to render and whether the outcome was effective. and hopefully find out the most effective Mac rendering setup!
POST THE RESULTS ON THIS THREAD
I’ll correlate the results for this Forum and post it next FRIDAY 13th JAN
