  • Airbox compatible mpg2 transport stream from FCP?

    Hi,

I work in a community TV station and we are having trouble getting Compressor to make a Transport Stream MPG2 that our PC based Airbox play system will accept. It reports an error with the audio.

We are currently exporting out of FCP with compressor using the default Mpeg2 setting with TS checkbox ticked to interleave audio and video.

Any ideas, what about squeeze, bitvice, mpegstreamclip??

What kind of audio does it want is the question?

MPEG streamclip is free, and I have had nothing but good luck with this handy and free utility. DId I mention it’s free?

You might try BitVice Helper to mux the audio into a transport stream.

    Thanks for your advice.

FYI: Both Mpeg Streamclip and Bitvice Helper solved our problem. Muxing in compressor creates a ‘transport stream’. This caused problems on the Airbox component of Playbox. Muxing in Bitvice Helper creates a ‘program stream’ which works fine.
