Running FCP5 I use a G5 dual 2 gig with 4 gig ram. I want to plug up my sony studio monitor but without loooping through the DSR20 deck. Any thoughts on hardware? I’m after quality not cheap and nasty.
    Thanks

AJA Io. Keep in mind that you cannot have two Video devices connected to FCP at the same time. So if your deck is connected via Firewire and it’s turned on, you must disconnect the Io and vice versa.

You can also add an internal card like the AJA Kona series or the Aurora Pipe series.

    Hi

I have a Deckling Extreme and it works perfectly. You can monitoring, edit to tape… There are lots of configurations in the SD series (Standard, Pro, Sp and Extreme) This hardware is not very expensive and runs ok.

    Good luck and good choice
