  Codec Question

  Hi All,

  Anyone familiar with a Codec called : Linear PCM, AVDJ ? Our Marketing Department sent me to an FTP site to get two 30 second ads to modify so I don’t know who did the original edit. They won’t work on my machine or play in QuickTime. I would guess it’s from an AVID machine but I have never seen this Codec. Is this something I would want to install on our machine? I hate adding anything that could mess things up.

  We are running Suite 2.0.1.

  Yes, this should be the Avid MJPEG-based (Meridien) codec. You can install them without problems on your system; at least we never had problems with them being installed on our Media 100 systems.
