  Media 100 16:9 output imports into After FX as 4:3

  My 16:9 self contained movie from M100i V.8.2 imports into After FX V.6 as 4:3. I make comp. 16:9, then stretch out squished image to fit the comp – looks right. I then render out of AFX with M100 NTSC-720 codec and when I pull it back into M100i the image IS 16:9 but the clip is tagged with 4:3!!!
  …and of course my M100i wont let me drop it on the 16:9 timeline. Anyone?…

  Make sure that the footage in AE gets interpreted correctly to make things easier. Right-Click the file in the Project window and use the “Interpret Footage” command to set it to widescreen.

  When importing 16:9 clips rendered from AE into Media 100 make sure that in the Import window under Aspect Ratio “Use 16::9 aspect ratio” is selected. If you already have imported the file, simply reimport it again with the 16:9 setting; it should come in immediately with the correct aspect ratio. In V10 and later you can change the aspect ratio for clips in the application, but I think this was not the case in V8. So reimport and you should be okay.
