Horizontal lines appear after I export my mp4 video in Adobe Premiere Pro
After I export my video in Adobe Premiere Pro as an mp4 these wierd horizontal lines appear whenever there is motion. I’d really like to figure out how to get rid of these because everything else is perfect. Quality is great. I’ve tried exporting as mov, wmv, avi, mp4. Everything has these lines. Please help. Also I have my project setting set to “No Fields Progressive scan” already so that’s not the problem and I’ve tried changing the field to “Deinterlace”. That has no effect either.
Here is the specific format I used for the current video I’m working on;
Format: H.264
Preset: HD720 29.97
W: 1280 H: 720
Frame Rate: 29.97
Field Order: Progressive
Aspect: Square Pixels
TV Standard: NTSC
Profile: Main
Level: 3.2
Bitrate Encoding: VBR 1 pass
Target bit: 6

Hi Tara,
Check your sequence settings and see if it’s set to upper fields first, if so change to progressive and see if that solves your issue.

Ok, then try right clicking on every clip in your project manager, then change the interpret settings to progressive as well.

Is your original footage progressive or interlaced?

How would I figure out if my footage is progressive or interlaced?
I’m thinking now it has something to do with when I convert my original source footage from MTS to AVI. Because after the conversion is when I notice the lines.I can’t import MTS into Adobe so I convert it first to avi. How would I convert it but avoid getting these lines?

That could be harder to solve. Depending on the program you are using, you want to make sure you are keeping the fields in the same order. Most HD formats are either upper or progressive.
