Keyboard shortcut for soloing a single track for track targeting
Posted by Dustin Parsons on October 30, 2014 at 5:36 pmIs there a keyboard shortcut that would allow me to solo one track for track targeting while turning off all others?
Thanks!

October 31, 2014 at 1:01 pmI had a look into something similar to this a while ago, and whist there isn’t an option to create a KB shortcut for what you require, there are some ways to do it with a couple of extra strokes.
[Note: If you want to find out all the KB shortcut possibilities in Premiere, go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts and have a browse/search throught there. I have created loads of additional shortcuts after discovering them in there. It is amazing how many commands don’t have a shortcut set by default].
In the Keyboards shortcuts panel, search “target”, and all the related shortcuts will appear.
There are two that are set: Toggle All Audio Targets and Toggle All Video Targets. Using this shortcut will clear all the targets currently selected.
THEN, what I did, was to add shortcuts to the “Toggle Target Video 1-8” using the number pad on the right of the keyboard. Obviously, you might have a preferred button, but I find that works well for me.
Once this is setup, “Toggle all targets” off, select the track you want, do the edit, “Toggle all targets” on.
