  OpenCL in Premiere CC – playback not accelerated

  Hello,

  I just trying the latest Premiere CC 2014 and having problem with playback.

  I thought the playback was supposed to be OpenCL GPU accelerated in this version but when I play back anything it stutters, I can see loads of dropped frames, and the hardware monitor in Windows shows my high-end dual GPU 7990 sitting idle.

  I normally use CS6 and this actually is playing back my 4k GH4 footage better than CC at the moment.

  So what’s the story? It can’t be that AMD is limiting the OpenCL to JUST their more expensive FirePro line of graphic cards is it? Considering my dual GPU “consumer” 7990 is more powerful than half the FirePro lineup…

  I see videos online with CC flying through realtime 4K video but they are using FirePro cards.
