  • What is the best way to trace a low quality video but not have a pixelated result?

    Hi there

Basically Ive got a low quality video of some birds flying that I want to trace, but at the moment when I do the end result is pixelated. I am using the mask tool to create the animation and im sure there is a better way to do this. Ive basically copied the mask shape keyframes onto a black solid but then I have to blow the black solid up to about 500% to get the bird the right size in a PAL DV composition. I am using continuously rasterize function but is there a better way of doing this so I dont have to increase the size so much…….or is this method ok?

    cheers

    dan

copy the keyframes to your small solid,
then resize the solid using the Solid settings (not scale)
the mask-shape and it’s keyframes will scale with it:
    hurray ! 😉
