  • Shift F in FCP 7, what’s it in PP CC 2014?

latest PP CC2014 – how to create a custom key stroke to find bin, i.e., after match frame then it shows up in source monitor, how to then do what FCP 7 had which was shift F, so what’s the equivalent in PP CC 2014

    thanks

There is a search field in the project panel directly for you to type in and in any separate bins that you open up.

Also, if you go into Keyboard shortcuts, go to Panels>Project Panel>Project Panel Menu and you will find the ‘find…’ command. Assign it to whatever keyboard shortcut you’re comfortable with.

Thanks for reply – but I found it’s actually in Source Monitor Panel/Reveal in Project, then I assigned it the shift F key and it works like FCP 7’s Shift F “find bin”…thanks

    Hi Kent,
Yes, you found it. “Reveal Master Clip” is the command in FCP that is called “Reveal in Project” in Premiere Pro. What you might want to do is set the same keyboard shortcut for “Reveal in Project” in Keyboard Shortcuts for the Timeline pane as well. You can set the same shortcut for multiple panes now.

    Thanks,
    Kevin
