  • Can I make a stereo sequence mono or do I have to re-edit all the audio?

I’ve made a bunch of multicam clips and cut them int oatimeline, but I’m realizing now I should have broken the audio into dual mono so I can get rid of the off mic track. Is there a way to do this or do I have to start over??? Coming from Avid this is insane to not be able to turn a stereo track in a timeline into a mono track. There must be some way to do it?

    Hi Christine.

There is an effect in the audio effects section called ‘fill left’ and ‘fill right’
apply this to your clip to fill the respective audio channel with the other.
It’s a bit confusing and should have been called ‘fill with left’ for example if i want the left channel only to be heard I use fill left and vice versa.

You can apply this to the audio in your original multi clip sequence or else just keep editing away and apply it to all clips in your audio track later on.

    Hope that helps

    Dave
