Keep clip frame rates interpreted after reconnect?
For my work I’m having to collaborate with another editor living in another city. We both finally decided to make the switch over to Premiere (we had been using Final Cut Pro X until now, but I’ve been using FCP since version 3). Anyway, one problem I’ve been having is when I send a project file over to him, when he tries to reconnect the footage, he has to re-interpret all the clips that I’ve changed the frame rates to. I remember this being a problem with FCP7 and earlier versions as you would need to use Cinema Tools, but FCP10 managed to integrate this feature into the actual software. You could even export an XML with the metadata included –one of the few things it actually did well.
Does anyone have any idea how I can keep this metadata within the project so that he or I do not have to reinterpret the footage every time?
