  • how to change just a hand color and also send selected only to speed grade?

Used to color correction and using secondary color correction in FCP7, so how to do in PP CC latest? I want to simply isolate a hand and change its color not effecting anything else…how?

Also, I only want to have maybe 3 or 4 shots on timeline sent to speed grade – I tried in and out point then send to SG but it still loaded the entire 10 minute timeline…any way just to do only in/out or even lasso a few shots and send those only to SG?

Send the whole sequence and only correct those shots you want. It’ll be like you never left.
As far as the hand, use a mask in speedgrade to just change the part you want.

    Thanks

you mean you can’t just lasso a few shots in pp cc and send to sg?

So how in the world once in speed grade can you enlarge the time line to see specific shots

There are “secret” keyboard shortcuts to most SG functions. Zoom in timeline uses Ctrl+Scrollwheel.
    Also numeric keypad +/-

You could put those few shots in a sequence of their own, send that short sequence to SG, do your grade, export the grade for each shot as a Look, then apply those Looks to your original shots on your original timeline.

There’s more than a handful of ways to work with PPro and SG. Whatever’s most comfortable for you. But they’re all good.

This sounds at least interesting and doable though shame it’s not a bit more intuitive to just lasso what you want in PP CC, send to SG, and your off…thanks for your help
