  Clips in premier pro

  When I bring in my clips in a new project, premier pro creates doubles even triple copies of my clips, Does any one know why..

  This is normal. Each time you copy an asset in your library panel (or import multiple projects that share assets) it becomes it’s own entity that you can remap audio channels, adjust timecode, adjust speed, re-interpret frame rate, and so on without disturbing other instances of that asset across the project.

  While, yes, it would be nice to have project manager consolidate these unaltered copies in your bins, it isn’t a feature currently.

  If you import sequences from a project (instead of importing the entire project), Premiere Pro will link to existing media instead of creating new master clips, avoiding this duplication.

  You can do this via the Import command or via the Media Browser.

  I’m not having any luck with this. I’m importing only the sequences NOT the project but it is duplicating the clips. And the clips all reference the exact same location.

  What version of Pr? I think this should work in at least CS6 and CC.
