I have a 1hr 44min project but when I lay in a transparent video track and put a time code filter on it, the time code says that the program is 1hr 22 min long.

Seems like I need to set something – what could that possibly be?

Does the frame rate of the Timecode filter match the sequence? I think you might have a 24 frame sequence with the Timecode Filter set to a higher number. This will give you a shorter total time according to the filter because there are more frames per second.
    Hope that helps

The timecode filter defaults to 30fps drop frame and there are other settings that you also might want to check.
