my rusty old emac crashed so i pulled out the old hard drive so i can save all my old fcp projects. now I have moved to pc and built my own(so i can game as well). i now have premier pro and have converted all my projects from fcp into XML successfully but all my media must be reconnected. I know have to reconnect one at a time but my projects are HUGE!. is there a way to reconnect them all faster? auto connect from a file path or something? it would take about 4 hours to do it 1 clip at a time
    thanks

Is your footage in a single folders or a single hierarchy of folders? Or is it all spread across your hard drive in a ton of different folders?

I ask because Premiere is usually very good about connecting files recursively. Find one file and it will connect other files in the same folder, the parent folder, the sub folders, etc.

Try reconnecting one project and you may find that you’ll only actually need to reconnect a handful of files for each.
