  • P2 files duplicating when imported in Premier Pro CS5

Hey, I’m having a problem import all of my P2 files into a project in Premiere Pro CS5. I have 10 files I want to use but when I import them into the project 3 of the files are imported as duplicates of the files that comes before them in the series. All of these files were shot at the same time with the same camera. I have tried creating a new project and importing them and it happens again.

    Any advice?

Use the media browser window in Premiere to import any file format that uses spanned clips.

I assume the issue arises because you drag your files straight into the project bin?

I’m using the media browser. When I open up the folder they are in the 3 files that wont import do not appear. If I open the folder outside of premiere they are there…

We just noticed this as well – in the case of longer record runs, Premiere sees clips that are part of the same record run as one clip.
