Exporting clips from a sequence
Hi,
Here is the issue. I have a 2 hour video broken up into 99 segments in order to make clips for an index. I have a marker at the beginning of each clip identifying the number it is.
The problem is when I have to send these clips to Adobe Media Encoder, I have to physically remember each start and end timecode number from the sequence in order to punch them into the export dialogue box and then send it to the queue in Media Encoder.
Isn’t there a way I can mark the in and out point on the sequence and have the export box show the in and out points and send to queue?
Here is the process that I am doing now…
1. Marker is at start of clip – (let’s say 00:40:03 – clip number 2) I have to remember this timecode or write it down.
2. I put the cursor bar at the end of the clip (00:57:06)
3. I hit (control M) on the keyboard.
4. The Export box appears, I hit the (Set out point) button, because that is where the cursor was on the sequence and is now stationed there on the timeline bar under the window.
5. I click on the numbers on the left side of the window and enter in the number that I wrote down from step 1 above.
6 Then I click on the queue button to send to Media Encoder.
What I would like to know is if there is a way to mark, in and outs on the sequence, and click on export and have those values already be there instead of having to write down the numbers 99 times.
Thanks for any help!
