  Slow encoding response

  I tracked down several No Response discussions, one primarily with a gentleman running CS4 but wanted to throw my hat into the ring.

  CS5.5
  Running Premiere Pro (same issue with Media Encoder)
  Windows 64 Bit 7 Pro
  i7 x980 CPU
  12G RAM
  All software up to date

  AVG anti-virus

  I get a Not Responding when trying to export or queue files then after any where from 60 seconds to two minutes Premiere/Encoder will finally respond.

  Occurs with SD and HD footage, with and without strenuous effects. Can’t seem to find any rhyme or reason.

  The same issue occurs when I try to change the encoding format. I get a Not Responding error in bot Premiere and Encoder than after a while it will finally respond.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Hi
  I’m running Premiere Pro CS5.5 & I have recently started to have the same problem when exporting my media.
  Were you able to fix this problem?

  nope never did and it’s still as annoying as ever.
