  • Can only label clips in timeline if linked to audio??

Is there any reason why I can only change a clip’s colour in the timeline if it’s linked to an audio clip? As soon as I unlink I don’t get the right-click option to change video label colour…?

Seems I can only label in timeline if there is linked audio present. If I have clips with no audio I can’t colour them up – is this normal?

    Thanks.

I have the same problem but found a solution. Usually I just right-click on a clip to bring up the label options, but if there is no audio this doesn’t appear… instead you have to click the clip then go to the toolbar – edit>label to see the colour options.
