  Best PC Laptop for Adobe Premiere Pro

  Folks I am looking forward to upgrade my laptop for video editing and I am considering the ASUS I7 Quad Core, 2.0ghz per core, 8GBram 1333mhz upgradable to 16gb, Nvidia Cuda GTX 460M 1GB Card, and a 750gb 7200rpm hard drive.

  What are your thoughts on ASUS as a laptop, and this configuration of a pc for music video production.

  Please let me know as I am looking forward to make this purchase soon.

  Dragan – looks good. That should work much better than your current system. Is that the ASUS G-series with a USB 3.0 port? I don’t recall a Firewire, so you may want to look at a good portable, USB 3.0 external drive with it.

  I don’t see a USB 3.0 in the specs. I know ASUS has a similar model with a USB 3.0 in the specs. I think you will probably want that as well, since the system doesn’t have Firewire capabilities. Which then begs the question… how you getting your footage into it?

  I will double check. But u can swear that in the store they showed me that it had the USB3 port. Thankfully I dont havr to capture as I am working with Sony EX1 and can just transfer the files.

  What do you think ASUS vs HP similar machine.

  Def HP before ASUS. All depends on your budget. HP will most likely cost a little more.
