Hello. I am working on a project that require many subtitles. And I usually make subtitles in Photoshop with transparent background and save as .psd and load in the Premiere pro. However, it seems to me that this way really slows down the premiere a lot when 1) loading the project, 2) switching between different programs using ALT+Tab. So I figured .psd might be heavy to use and tried to use .png or .tiff but it still is really slow.

I can not use the “Title” menu in Premiere because it limits what I can do with subtitle.

What do you guys use to make subtitle?

    Thank you

I also use Photoshop for titles. It sounds like you might be running low on memory.
