I have a local media outlet that will now take tv commercials for broadcast in electronic file format. Any suggestions on the best file format and codec for standard def commercials that will be encoded through Flip Factory? I’m using PPro CS4 with a Matrox LE card.

They should be telling you which formats are acceptable… otherwise you risk multiple (re)compression and serious loss of quality.

Thanks for that, Jeff. Problem is, I’ve run into a lot of people using Flip Factory that aren’t very knowledgeable it its operation and thus are having me try different file types.

I suppose I was not clear: Your “local media outlet” should be the ones providing the specs. They are the people who know what they use for playback.
