    Are you using external drives?

Nope – Raid 0 striped array internal. I’m wondering if it’s a media cache thing.

Yes try moving/renaming the media cache folder. Are you on Vista?

It could be, where are you storing the cache files and cache database? usually the location is listed under “Edit/Preferences/Media” in a “Common” directory used by other Adobe Apps, maybe the directory doesn’t exist and its dumping them somewhere else.

Side note: the AppsData directory listed in the paths in the Media pane is a hidden directory, Like Vince mentioned sometimes you have to move it elsewhere. I have a second disk which I keep housekeeping data, preview files and other esoteric files on, so they are off the Apps drive.

Thanks for the response. Was in Santa Monica last week for a shoot with Harrison Ford (name dropping shamelessly) last week. Back to messing with the box.
When you say a different drive for housekeeping, are you suggesting a third drive? I currently have the Adobe apps on the C drive with the OS, and a RAID 0 drive I use for project files, assets, and the housekeeping files.
