Capture settings in premiere pro cs4?
I am trying to capture some hd footage from a canon hv30 in premiere pro cs4. I have checked output settings in hv30, they are set to hdv. when I open a new project for cs4 under capture settings “source” I cant get hv30 to show up, it only says “built in i-sight”. everything is connected properly with fire wire and I’ve tried this with many different compression’s settings, still cant get it. I can capture it fine in standard dv mode just not hd. I shot the footage in hd 24p cine mode.. any ideas??? anyone???

Have you check it the capture settings in the capture window is set to hdv? If not you can set it to hdv in Project/Project Settings/General/capture.
