  Transitions that don’t render upon export

  I am having problems with some transitions not showing up when I export a sequence. Specifically, the Iris Box transition. The transition is between a still image and a video clip, and when I export it to an .avi file, the entire transition is missing – i.e. the video just pops on screen.

  I have cross dissolves earlier in the sequence and they show up just fine. Also, I tried replacing the Iris Box with a Cross Dissolve and it worked just fine. Does anyone know why one transition would work and another would not?

  You might not have the hardware to render that effect (ie video card), what kind of system are you using?

  I’m on Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2. Is that what you’re asking? I’m not sure about the video card – it’s my work computer and I had nothing to do with installation.
