We have a master comp with a lot of fx and keyframes, is there any way to replace the current footage in the comp with a new section of footage i.e drag with a keypress etc. Placeholder will not work as if I am correct it will replace all the footage in all the comps.

First select the footage you want to replace in the timeline, then hold down “alt” and drag the new footage on top of the old.

If you don’t want to drag and drop you can use the keyboard shortcut: COMMAND OPTION / (mac) or CONTROL ALT / (pc).
