    Hi,
I just finished editing an 8 minute film. My source was jpeg time-lapse sequences created on a dslr and converted in combustion to quicktime animation uncompressed, 768×576 pal square progressive (after some color corrections and compositing). There are additional color corrections, transitions and titles done in premiere pro 2.

I now need to archive the project. I already made a tga sequence + Wav backup, but I want an uncompressed avi\quicktime file as well.

could you discuss the differences between the various uncompressed options available, and what would yield the best output? file size is not a big issue, I have more than enough disk space. Also, should some sort of 10-bit rendering be considered, even though the source files and the project itself were done in 8-bit?

    many thanks

You could use 10 bit uncompressed AVI, but that usually is only needed if animation is involved. 8 bit should be all you’ll ever need.
