    Greetings from the Rocky Mountains!
Can a computer monitor be used instead of a TV as the external monitor in Premiere Elements?
If so, would it come off my dual head video card or through firewire?
Technically, how would I hook this up?
    Thanks in advance.

You should use an NTSC monitor because the color space is different than the RGB computer monitor.

You might ask the question in the Premiere Elements forum too in case it’s something different than Premiere Pro.

No, Elements cannot display previews to a second computer monitor, but just like Pro, can pass thru a DV signal using your camcorder to a TV.
Previewing video targeted for TV on a PC monitor is frought with peril.
