    Hi!
I’m making an animation on Cinema 4D, for later composing on After Effects.
The first screenshot is the Cinema 4d screen, with the Start and End cap disabled, so the animation is not shown on the sides of the extrusion.
The second screenshot shows what I see when I export to AE. The sides appear, and I can’t delete them. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
    Thanks!

You should try to convert that generator to mesh, then delete those faces (the caps) you don’t want.

It can’t go to AE if it ain’t there.

I guess the reason is that AE can’t differentiate the show caps option that the C4D viewport does, the generator must be creating the caps at all times, just not showing it to you.

The things is that according to a tutorial, where I’m doing that exact exercise, it shouldn’t be neccesary to convert to mesh and delete the additional layers. They just do the same as I do, and it turns out ok.
I’m guessing there’s an option or configuration that I’m not clicking by default that’s causing this.
