  Effects from Pre-Comp Not Appearing in Main Comp. (Collapse Transformations Enabled)

  Hey all!

  I’m a bit stumped here.

  Running AE CC 2019 (16.1.3)

  In my animation, I’ve applied the ripple effect to a layer in my pre-comp (to make a woman’s hair blowing in the wind) and it looks great.

  However, in the main comp, her hair remains completely static.

  I have collapse transformations enables on all the layers of the pre-comp as well as the main comp.

  I’ve attached some screenshots, but I feel like I’m probably overlooking something very basic. Any help would be much appreciated.

  (I attempted to upload screenshots, but it’s not working for some reason. Hopefully the answer is obvious and might not need them?)

  Does it work ok with Collapse Transformations switched off in the main Comp?

  Also, what is the image you are applying it to, a bitmap (regular image) or a Vector (created with shape layers or from illustrator?)
