  Custom Text Animation

  Hello Creativecow people!
  I am trying to find a solution about a custom text animation that I am creating.

  Here is my gif as an example of what I am talking about (the second example in this gif has an echo effect applied).

  I did this example using a really bad method – by applying the layer animation to each letter individually with bunch of precomps and aligning them by hand… yeah… I had to give an example at least. This method could also work, however it is a permanent effect and if I want to put a different text for a different client, I have to do things by hand each time. I am looking for a simple automated solution, that would do this job without the hassle of applying individual letter animation with precomps, like I did in my example. I am aware of the text animator, however I cant get it to work properly the way I want to. Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

  Is it the long trails that you are after? Then you can use the ECHO plug in.

  You can also use motion blur to a similar effect, as I discuss in this article.
