  Pinning objects to extrusion

  Hello there!

  I am new to c4d and struggling with a (I think) fairly simple thing:

  I have an object with an animated extrusion and I need a second object to lay on top of it while it extrudes. Is there a way to pin the second obj to the extruding face so that it moves at the exact same speed?
  I am attaching two images of what I mean, hoping to make myself clear enough =)

  For the secondary object. are you simply trying to have the cap of the extrude be a different material?

  which version of c4d are you using?
