    Hello Chums,

Hopefully this is an easy one…

I have a series of similar films that I am laying in different voiceover language versions for. I want to be able to tag them all with the same keywords so that I need to spend less time tagging each film. I am currently copying and pasting key words from from a text file into the ‘tags’ field, but I’d like to be able to tag multiple projects/edits all at once.

I have looked for tips on line, but can;t find anything. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Hi. Maybe can you explain what you have tried? You can select multiple elements in the browser, open the keyword editor, and type a keyword (or assign one to a shortcut and hit that shortcut) and the keyword will get applied to everything that’s selected. Is that not working for you?

Meta is not something I have really paid much attention to although I know that is what FCPX is supposed to be good at.

At the moment I am changing the Tags for each film as I ‘share’ them. Will the Keyword editor do this for me?

Ah…just figured out how to add Keywords to multiple projects (handy…!), but these do not see to show up as ‘tags’ in the info panel when I am trying to Share the clips . Copying and pasting the tags is easy enough, but when i have 20 films to spit out it is better to be able to automate this…

    Thanks for any help.

You can select all the Projects, and write the Tag and it will update all of them.

    And it doesn’t work or…?

    It works here.

Sorry for the delayed reply…never really figured this out BTW. I can successfully Keyword multiple projects but cant see how to tag multiple projects so that they are all tagged when I want to export (“Share”) the project.
