Unable to drag Files or Folders into Project Window from Explorer after update.
So, I updated Adobe Premiere today, and now for some reason I’m unable to Drag
ANYTHING from Window’s Exploiter window into the Project window in Premiere at all. I’m going insane because I remember having this exact same issue after an
update about 5-6 years ago and can’t for the life of me figure out how i
solved it. I think I did a “reset/delete Pref” last time to solve the issue, but I’m uncertain. I’m on Windows 10.-Made sure It’s not a Running the program as “admin” issue
– Did a System Reset
– Opened a “new” clean Project still nothing.

Found the issue. I defaulted back to standard Window layouts in Premiere, then went back to my custom setup. Solved the problem. Weird..

Yes. Deleting preferences should help with that. I’m not sure why a custom workspace would make a difference… but strange things have been known to happen on updates. 🙂
Press Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) while launching Premiere Pro. You can release the Alt key or Option key when the splash screen appears. To reset preferences and plug-in cache at the same time, hold down Shift-Alt (Windows) or Shift-Option (Mac OS) while the application is starting.
