No Communication with VTR
After a few months of flawless performance with AJA io, I just lost communication with all my decks via RS-422. Directly preceeding this I was tinkering with the capture settings/ Device control presets to be able to digitize from an SVO-5800 Sony SVHS deck via RS-422. I was able to capture with that deck using the Panasonic RS-422 protocol instead of Sony RS-422 but when I went back to capture from a Sony BetaSP 1800 I had no “No Communication”. I tried the easy set-up for Uncompressed 8-bit and trashed FCP preferences but still “no communication”. Going back to the SVO-5800 I’ve also lost communication.
My system is Tiger 10.4.2 with the lastest aja drivers. Should I re-install the aja drivers? If so, is there an easy way to do that? Do I dump current ones manually and reinstall or just reinstall OVER the current ones.
I’ve looked forum and have seen some people with similar problems but there doesn’t seem to be a definitive solution.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Shut down the computer then shut down the aja io box itself. Upon restart all is well. Hope that’s helpful to someone in the future.
