  • Can Aja Kona lhe works with Samsung monitor?

Posted by Bim Ajadi on April 12, 2011 at 12:46 am

    Hi

I’m wondering if the AJA Kona Lhe card works with Samsung monitor that i’m using- SyncMaster P2270HD? I have the leads that comes with Kona-LHe Standard AV Breakout cable but noticed there’s no suitable connection with the cable to the monitor? Would I need to get adaptor?

Any advice here would be most appreciated as I’ve got the capture card with a Breakout Box and mac pro 8 core 2×2.4Ghz Quad-Core Intel.

    Thanks

    Bim

What are the input options of the SyncMaster P2270HD?

What are the outputs options of the Kona-LHe

Now if you have a match your ready to go.

If you don’t have a match then you will need to find some kind of converter.

AJA makes all kinds of HD-SDI to XXZZY converter.

    Hi Bim,

It seems to me that all you would need are 3 BNC to RCA adapters.

The breakout cable from the Kona LHE has 3 BNC Male connectors for component output. Your monitor will have 3 RCA female connectors for the component input. The breakout cable may not be long enough to reach your monitor.

You probably need 3 BNC(Female) to RCA(Female) adapters. The link is just an example – I’ve never ordered from them.

Then any component RCA patch cable to connect to your monitor.

    Good luck,
