  Kona LHe “There is no video”

  I’m having a problem capturing running footage from a BetaSP through my Kona LHe.

  I’ve checked all the connections, and the monitor hooked to the VTR displays the video flawlessly.

  FCP recognizes the VTR and I can control it with the log and capture panel.

  My settings are the same I’ve always used to capture running footage:

  Device Control: AJA Kona LH: 29.97 Sony VTR A
  Capture/Input: AJA Kona LH: 525 29.97 DVCpro50

  Here is the problem, I can see a time code, but I am not getting video.

  All drivers are current, and I’m using FCP 6.0.6

  Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have commercials I need to get out!

  How are you connected to the deck? Composite or component? Did you choose analog input in the kona control panel? This cannot be done from within final cut- you must configure inputs in the Aja control panel in the Applications folder.

  I just needed to set it to analog, and I’m connected through composite.

  Hi I’m having problem with my new MAC PRO FCP 7.0 with AJA Kona Lhe v.8 driver. I am editing in FCP 7 at DV NTSC but i do not have a video monitor output. What will be the settings in AJA KONA LHe control panel. thanks

  Hi Gary,

  Can you help me please! I have a project in FCP 7.0 with AJA KONA LHe but i don’t have Video Monitor Output. What will be the correct settings in AJA Control Panel? I’m editing in NTSC DV only. Thanks

  you should be using the correct Setup in FCP first

  it should say –
  AJA KONA LHE- NTSC 8 Bit to DV and make sure that you go to View > External Video> Show all frames

  and you should be able to see your video out.

  What do you mean by settings in FCP? Is it the audio and video settings video playback or the sequence preset? Because there is no AJA KONA LHE- NTSC 8 Bit to DV in video playback or sequence preset.

  You need to use the FCP EASY SETUP with the settings I mentioned.

  if they are not available to you the drivers are not properly installed

  Thanks Gary for the reply. i’ve tried what you said but it seems my AJA KONA LHe is not responding at any settings, video input and output.
