When we set Downconversion to “Crop” in the AJA Control Panel, and then open ETT in FCP4.5, the setting reverts back to “Letterbox”. When you drop a sequence in the ETT window, the setting will revert to Letterbox. Only when you see the “Ready to record…” dialog, will the Crop setting stick.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

I have noticed behavior like this with the Reference input as well. I don’t think that it is a bug, but rather the Control Panel knows that there are different modes in FCP and automatically changes when they are entered. Then again maybe it is just a bug.

Have you tried to save a preset to avoid the auto switching?

    Hi,

Presets do not help, just a bug, at least you caught it. What I’ve found as a solution is to hit escape ONCE right after the computer starts to capture the first clip in a batch, I simply click over the the AJA control panel, reset my settings and hit continue in FCP, small anoyance, but not tooo bad, I wish it was not like that but it is even on a completely clean system.
