  FCPX 10.3.2 Grey Diagonal Lines???

  I synced a video & audio clip together.

  After the sync was done, I drag synced clip into time line and 50% of the clip thumbnail looks normal and the other 50% of the clip thumbnail is blacked-out. (see SCREENSHOT 1 attached)

  

  When I open the clip and look at the blacked out area, the area is very dark with horizonal lines all over the screen.
  (see SCREENSHOT 2 attached)

  

  On playback all is normal until the playhead enters the black-out area and then the audio is still audible but the video is invisible (all black).

  How can I fix this problem???

  Possibly the clip is corrupted or a compound clip?
