[FCP X 10.0.8] Best plugin (or techs) to fix Out of focus video
Hallo everybody,
I’m searching a solution to fin a way to fix an out of focus clip…
Any ideas about it? Plugin or meybe techs to fix this problem in FCP X?Many thanks!

It’s called the “Reshoot” Filter or spend a *lot* of dough at a visual effects house…

NEAT Video has a decent sharpening capability, but it will not come out as if it was shot in focus. Is the video way out of focus, or just a little?

of course just a little out of focus. I have Neat Video and I ll try it. I-m going to try also NewBlueFX Sharpen… -
Agree with James Cude, the best thing is to reshoot or just forget the clip. But if you want you can play around in Motion with the Sharp effect

Of course would be better reshoot… but is simply impossible!

It will never look sharp. You can fool a unexperienced client by adding more blur on the border of the image, leaving the subject untouched by the blur and a little sharpened. This is a trick more than a technique and produces very poor quality images, so please forget what I told 😉

Yeah, the above comments, ya can’t fix “garbage in”. How about treating the footage heavily so there’s something else to distract the viewer from the focus.

An editor friend of mine once defined one of the difference between a DP and an editor. He said : As an editor I can screw around with my material all day and if it isn’t working I can hit the “undo” key a bunch of time and get back to a place I like better. DP ‘s don’t have “undo” keys like editors, if they undo, its all real time undo, – move the key light 5 feet left and 3 feet back. This is why DP’s get paid the big bucks ”
Unfortunately if you didnt get the image right in camera the first time, no plug in will save your focus issue. I can pretty much guarantee you the first person that creates a plug in that does refocusing in post in post will make a fortune or two.

˜Right Mark, but I-m just saying that I-ve only a little out of focus. Therefore, I tried to ask if a plugin could help. Anywhare, I0m ready some interesting articles in internet about techs can help to fix (just a little) this problem.
