    Hi All,

I’m having some serious problems with p2 footage lately.

First I had a clip just get cut off. runs for 6 minutes and then
ends. Picks up again about 15 minutes later. I know I didn’t stop recording but the clip has been cut into two and is missing 15 min.

No indication of any errors on the ingest. No sign of a spanned clip or anything like that.

Second I now have clips coming in in 4GB chunks!

    What is up?

Anyone know if this is a FCPX problem? P2 Cards and my camera have been pretty solid but ?????

    It’s a HPX300 recording at 108024p avci 100

    Thanks for any insight!

How is your hard drive formatted? The 4GB limit implies it may be FAT32, as that’s the file size limit for that formatting.

It’s the p2 cards that are fat32. FCPX is supposed to see the tags and re-connect them as
    one clip.

Once in a while FCPX brings them in that way. Most of the time they are connected as one clip.

    ?????

    Weird.

Just did two tests last night. One came in as ONE big 14GB clip.

Real bummer is that this bug has caused me to lose a clip I think. It was the main part of
an interview that can’t be replaced.
