How to get both subject and background to fade out together?
I’ve got a subject and a keyed out green screen. I’ve applied a background image and everything looks great. But when I apply “Fade To Color” on the subject and another “Fade To Color” on the background, the subject properly fades out but the background goes completely black on the first frame of the fade out (this happens even when I don’t apply any fade to the background at all and only fade the subject)
How do I properly fade out both background and subject to black?

Compound clip?
Put color solid above and dissolve to solid?

Looks like you only have the fade on one of the elements, I agree that a compound clip is the easiest way to do it. Just select both, right click, make compound clip, then slap on a fade.

Ok, thank you. That solved it. I wasn’t aware of how compound clips worked.
