  Sony MRC1K to FCPX workaround

  Hi, I have a Sony Z5E and an MRC1K. What is the best workaround for getting the footage into FCPX. The plug in for FCP7 doesn’t work.

  If the plugin doesn’t work, perhaps the easy solution would be to continue to use FCP 7 to ingest the files, then import from the hard drive location. I have a Z5U, and use FCP 7 to Log & Capture HDV tape. The files import nicely, although you don’t get all data such as Reel Name.
