  • CC Particle World – Linking position to an object

    Hello,

I’m having a little bit of trouble with CC particle world. I have a rather large scene with a few moving objects and I’d like to link up the producer of CC PW to an object (Aeroplane 1). Aeroplane 1 gets its position from a null object (Fleet Posn). I’ve created a new solid in white and applied CC PW to it – at this point I can’t see the producer or the grid, however I put this down to the fact that my camera position is -3000, -2784, -7694. I’ve not changed any of the settings within CC PW and to be certain I copy/pasted into another comp in which I could see the default yellow/red shower as normal.

First off I tried linking the Position coordinates of the CC PW producer to the relevant coordinates of my null, however nothing shows up. I tried manually moving to a position where I’d expect to be able to see it but still nothing.

Is there something obvious I’m doing wrong?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Fab.

It’s been a while since I’ve watched this tutorial, but if I remember correctly Andrew links the producer of his particle effect to a null. Apologies if I’m remembering incorrectly or if this tutorial is of no use to you.
