  • keyframing “wiggle”… possible?

    Hey,

I’m getting the general impression that one either uses keyframes or one uses expressions to and an effect to a layer property.

I’m using wiggle to get some random motion, and I want it to be adjustable: more here, less here, more again. But leafing through the manual seems to indicate that you have to set wiggle up and then let it go.

Is there a way to make it adjustable?

Am I going to have to learn to use variables, as it “var AmountToWiggle=…”?

Here’s the thing: I know that when the object has a high Y-coordinate, I want no wiggle, but a low Y-coordinate means wiggle, so I actually have something to “link” it to.

Here is a walk through on using a slider to control wiggle:

Forgive the typos in the earlier post, please.

Thanks. Now I’m going to try to use Dan’s marker expression and do a lot of work to accomplish something I could do more easily, haha.
