I watched Andrew’s tutorial on deinterlacing DV footage with his scanlines PSD, but I have HD footage and the scanlines does not fit the screen because it is too small, is there a PSD for HD footage?

Nevermind, found them in the other folder. Thanks

I never thought much of that technique. ae separates fields internally by blending both fields into a full frame. Andrew’s technique throws away completely one set of fields and replaces it with a blurred version of the footage. I think that AE’s build in feature gives better results, especially with HD footage, but that’s just my opinion.

Thanks, it is just for motion tracking at this point, I am not going to use the Deinterlaced footage after that…

for motion tracking you might also try ae’s separate fields, but put the footage into a comp that is double the frame rate (if the footage is 29.97, make the comp 59.94).

then you’ll have data from every field to use for tracking.
